Report on the 5thAlumni Home Coming
The 5th Alumni home coming was held on Sunday, 5th August 2018 on the theme ‘Rewind and Rejoice’. The Programme began with registration followed by the inauguration. The lighting of the lamp was graced by Mr. Jones Yoonas (Director-CINE Stunt), Dr. Albert Smith (Principal-SJEC), Ms. Priya (Vice Principal- SJEC), Mr. Prashanth Kumar (President-JECAA), Mrs. Kasturi (Senior Most – JECAA) and Mr. Ceasar (Representative-Silver Jubilee Batch).

Mr. Leo Gladwin L (Secretary- JECAA) and Ms. Lakshmi (an alumnus) were the masters of ceremony for the day. Mr. Prashanth delivered a welcome address. Dr. Albert Smith addressed the gathering; during his speech he encouraged the alumni to stay connected to SJEC for strong synergy. Mr. Jones Yoonas, the Chief Guest of the day, gave a motivational and inspirational speech. Following his speech, there was an ice breaker conducted by Mr. Prashanth.

Mr. Prashanth gave a detailed presentation on JECAA achievements and the action plan. He thanked previous office bearers and introduced the new office bearers. Thereafter, felicitation of the 1993 batch took place as a sign of the silver jubilee year. Each alumnus of that batch was called on stage and provided a sapling. We had a lunch break after a group photograph.

Post lunch, the session began with a vote of thanks by Johanna. She thanked the Management, Chief Guest, office bearers, sponsors and volunteers. The Programme continued with a cultural programme that included items such as dance, mono-acting, mime, and singing. The overall programme was successful with more than 150 alumni joining us.
