The annual sports day inauguration for the academic year 2019-20 was held in the college in the month of August 2019. The spirit of the occasion was ushered with a grand inauguration of ‘ENTHUSIA 2019-20’ presented by the Student council. Our beloved Principal Dr. Albert Joseph Smith along with Vice Principal Dr. Priya S, Student Governor Mr. Prashanth Kumar and college sports coordinator Mr. Ranganatha B declared the Annual Sports meet open and released the Poster. Principal wished our students and encouraged them to take part in all the events and make this event a grand success, and quoting “If you win, do not take it to your head, and if you lose, do not take it to your heart”.

The 47th Annual Sports meet was held on 08-12-2019 at St. Joseph’s College of Commerce. Rev. Fr. Brian Pereira SJ, Rector and vice president of BJES and Director of SJEC presided over the programme. Nisha Millet, Arjuna awardee and international swimmer was the Chief Guest and Kenneth Powell, Arjuna awardee and former Olympian graced the occasion as a Guest of Honor. The sports meet began with a grand march past on various social themes such as child labor, women empowerment, environment, etc. The students depicted various social issues through their costume, placards and plays during the march past. The 1st 2nd and 3rd prizes for the march past were won by 3rd B.B.A, 3rd B. Com-A and 1st B.A respectively. Various track and non-track events were conducted after the inauguration of the sports meet. The winners of the annual sports meet 2019-20 were 2nd B. Com-C and the runner-up prize was shared between 1st B. Com-B and 2nd B. Com-B
