For the first time in history of BJES, Arrupe Cup, an Inter Unit Staff Sports for all the BJES Institutions was organised by the Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society (BJES) in association with St. Joseph’s Boys High School on January 11 in St. Joseph's Boy's High School Ground. The event started at 8 am, and the staff from various BJES institutions such as St. Joseph’s Boys High School (SJBHS), St. Joseph’s PU College (SJPUC), St. Joseph’s College (SJC), St. Joseph’s Commerce College (SJCC), St. Joseph’s Evening College (SJEC), among others, participated in the sports extravaganza.

The Vice President of BJES, Rev. Fr. Brian Pereira SJ felicitated the organisers of the sports event. The event started with cricket at 8:30 am for male staff and throw ball for female staff. The staff participated enthusiastically. SJC team won the throw ball competition and SJCC were declared runner – up. Loyola College won the cricket match, and SJEC were runner- up.
