The Orientation program was held for the 1st year BBA students in the Loyola Hall on 10th December 2020 at 4:30pm by the Department of Business Administration. Handbooks were handed over to 1st year students at the registration desk. The program began with a prayer by Amil and team. Mr.Shandon Aaron Tapp and Ms.Raja Rajeshwari were the Masters of Ceremony.

Dr. Albert Joseph Smith, Principal, St.Joseph’s Evening Collegedeliveredhis speech by welcoming the students and spoke about the founder of the Jesuit Society – St.Ignatius of Loyola and said about the facilities offered by the college.

Prof.Ebenezar Sam shared his knowledge about the history of SJEC and various Institutions run by the Jesuit Society. Further on, he spoke about the social concern of The Jesuit Society. This was shown with the help of a representation video.

The orientation continued with anintroductory speech about the department by Dr.Kanishka, The H.O.D of the Department of BBA. Two Alumnus Mr.Kenneth, Talent Partner, CRED and Ms.Preeti, HR, Indeedwere invited as a guest speaker, they inspired students by sharing theirexperience about how the department helped them to progress and achieve in life.And they also spoke about the teachers and the advice given by them. They ended their speech by telling "Grab all the opportunity which the college offers and which will become handy to us later" And there was also another alumni Ms. Mary Shalini who was connected through MS team, she addressed the students with an motivational speech.At the end of the event there was a mentoring sessions by Dr Kanishka and Prof Leo Gladwin, where our mentors personally had a one-on-one session and lectures notes were checked by the mentors
