BCA Students attend virtual outreach programme

The Bembala Outreach Centre, SJEC organised a webinar on Migrant Workers Concerns and State’s Response during the Covid-19 Pandemic and an online teaching programme by SJEC students for school and college dropouts in collaboration with the NGO Careship on August 7 and August 8, respectively. Both the sessions were organised for II year BCA students.

The resource person for the webinar was Mr Immanuel P, COVID Relief Work Lead and Coordinator, Compassion in Action.org. The guest speaker discussed about the migrant issue. Mr Immanuel explained the ways in which the various non-profit organisations stepped up and assisted the government to provide relief to the migrant workers. Students also learnt how the St Joseph’s group of Institutions played a vital role in assisting the marginalised society during the Pandemic.

The second part of the outreach programme required the II BCA students to conduct and online technical class for school and college dropout girls between the age group of 18 to 30.
