On February 4, 2020, the National Service Scheme (NSS) of St. Joseph's Evening College organised an awareness programme on the occasion of ‘World Cancer Day'. The programme took place in college quadrangle. Students from various departments gathered around, and made the programme successful. The program was co-ordinated by NSS Staff Co-ordinator, Mr. Balaji M

The Student Secretary, Mr Damodar Pathak said, "We wanted to create awareness among the students about cancer.” The programme was informative with videos about the effects of smoking and cancer.
