Report on Debate
The Commerce Forum had lit up the campus of St .Joseph’s Evening College on September 9, 2017, by hosting a cluster of events. One among those events was the debate competition. The event was guided by student volunteers and judged by Mr. John Bosco (Department of Commerce) and Mr. John Paul (Department of Sociology).
The debate was based on the topic “Cashless Economy”. 13 teams consisting of 2 members each participated in the event and made the evening a memorable one. The participants gave their best points for and against the topic. A good team spirit was present in the hall which could be sensed easily as everyone was paying attention to the team that was performing.
The event was conducted to improve the interactive and communication skills of the participants and also to educate them on the cashless economy.
Report on Product Launch
Product Launch was one among the events which made the talent storm a memorable day. It launch has always been a platform for new and innovative ideas. It has never failed to recognize and appreciate fresh ideas to make business either by the launch of a product or a service. The event judged by Mr. Charles Ambrose from the department of commerce.
The event had 12 participants. Each participant was highly creative and made the best use of the space and time given. Many innovative ideas were put to the test and a lot of interaction took place between the participants and the judge.
The event encourages participants to think different and to analyse newer perspectives of growth through innovation and creativity.
Report on business quiz
The business quiz was another event which was a show stopper. It had a large audience that enjoyed the event from start to finish. The event had 21 participants from all the classes. The quiz was conducted by Mr. Joswin Prince from the department of commerce.
The business quiz consisted of three rounds and the participants were guided with the rules and regulations of the event before the competition began. The bar was raised high at the end of each round and the participants had to give their best in order to move on to the next round. The quiz master Mr. Joswin Prince made sure he kept the audience at the edge of their seats with every question put out to them.
At the end of the day, it was a wonderful experience to have been a part of the mega event and a lot of knowledge was taken back home.
Reports on various events
Air Crash
“Air crash” was conducted in room number 202 at 04:00 pm which later on went on up to 05:00 pm. It consisted of 8 participants who gave their best to win the competition. The event was judged by Ms. Dorothy from the department of commerce.
Crisis Management
The event “Crisis Management” was conducted in room number 206 at 04:00 pm and was again resumed at 07:00 pm. It consisted of 14 members from various classes. The event was judged by Mrs. A V Namrutha Sree from the department of commerce.
Pick and Speak
“Pick and Speak” was conducted in room number 201 from 04:00 pm to 05:00 pm. The event consisted of 23 participants and was judged by Ms. Priya from the department of commerce.
Pictionary
The event was held in room number 207 at 04:00 pm and went on up to 05:00 pm. The event consisted of 14 participants from various classes who put up a good competition at the end of the day. Pictionary was judged by Mr. Mithun from the department of commerce.
Mad Ads
The event was held in the Loyala hall at 04:00 pm and went on up to 05:00 pm. The event consisted of 14 participants from various classes. The event was judged by Ms. Meena (an eternal judge) and Mrs. Vidya from the department of commerce.
Spell Bee
“Spell Bee” was conducted on December 14, 2017, in room number 202 from 04:00 pm to 05:00 pm. The event was conducted with the help of the student volunteers and was judged by Mrs. Vidya from the department of commerce and Mr. Leo Gladwin from the department of business administration.
