SJEC celebrates Constitution Day; One hundred and fiftieth Birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

St Joseph’s Evening College (Autonomous) celebrated the Seventieth Indian Constitution Day, and one hundred and fiftieth Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, on November 26 by organising talks by eminent speakers at the St. Joseph’s Boys High School Auditorium. The speakers included reputed academicians, Prof. Jeevan Kumar, Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University, Gadag; and Prof. Jerome Nirmalraj, Dean, Humanities, St. Joseph’s College of Law.

Prof. Jeevan Kumar gave an understanding of the way Indian Constitution should be taught to students, while Prof. Nirmalraj gave an historical overview of the turbulent times during the drafting of the Constitution. Apart from the talks, students enacted a play on Constitution Day. Back
