Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola

The Holy Eucharist was organized on 30th July, 2018 in remembrance of the founder of the Jesuits, St. Ignatius of Loyola. All the Catholic and Christian students were asked to attend the Mass; the others were welcomed to attend as well. Over 300 students took part in the celebration. Our beloved director of St Joseph’s Evening College (Autonomous) Fr. Arun Prashant S.J. accompanied with many other Fathers celebrated the Eucharist. We learnt how the life of Ignatius was and how he had the courage to come forward and start the Society of Jesus which was the main reason for the start of education which is emerging even today in many places around the world. Our director also taught us how to live like this great man and gave us positive ideas to overcome the hardships in our life and do something for both Christ and the society.

It was indeed a good celebration and a happy moment to be cherished for the sacrifices made by this great legend who is an inspiration for all of us.
