Report on "Health and Hygiene" conducted on 18th August, 2018 for the second year students

On 18th August, 2018, the Women’s Cell had organised a health awareness program. This programme was conducted for the second year undergraduate (women) students. Dr. Aruna Muralidhar, MD, MRCOG (UK), FICM Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist, a well-known women-health activist, provided awareness on topics such as menstrual hygiene, menstrual problems, preconception and premarital care, sex and contraception, cancer screening and lifestyle changes and reproductive health. This session was held in the AV room from 7 pm to 9 pm. Simultaneously, Dr. Pratibha Malhotra, a Counselling Psychologist at Fortis La Femme, Department of Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences, National Mental Health Programme Fortis Healthcare, gave a lecture on "Managing stress and improving performance" for the second year undergraduate (men) in the L-Hall. It was an interactive and enriching session which equipped students with ways to deal with the stress they face in their daily lives. She was able to respond to students' concerns with utmost brilliance. She made sure to delve into many aspects of students' problems and the concerns in their lives.
