The Department of English organised a Hopkins Lecture on 7th July 2018 from 5.40 pm to 7.00 pm at Faber Hall in the auditorium of St. Joseph’s Boys’ High School. Mr. Diwakar, HOD, Department of English, welcomed the resource person Dr. Yoganand Rao and spoke about his achievements. He also welcomed the gathering. This was the fourth lecture in the Hopkins Lecture Series. The topic was: “From Literature to Culture Studies Programme”.

Dr. Yoganand Rao spoke about his career and where he worked. As part of the lecture, he also spoke about famous Kannada authors and poets like Devanur Mahadeva, and great English writers.

In the end, there was a quick question-and-answer session. Mr. Jerrin Chandan proposed the vote of thanks.
