In the interest of the health and safety of the staff and students during the on-going Pandemic, the management of SJEC decided on conducting online classes for students. The online classes began from June 8, 2020 via Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Springlight spoke to some students and teachers to find out their experience with online classes. Vasundhra.V.Kashyap from II B.Com ‘B’ said, ‘’Due to pandemic the educational institutions are shut and E -learning has come into limelight. Though virtual classes are not as effective as regular classes; it has become a new normal and it’s a new experience for both students and teachers. Everything has its own pros and cons .Let us be united and get used to this new normal.’’ Ms Mala Gurbani Jadwani, Assistant Professor, Dept of Journalism and Mass Communication said, “My experience with the online classes has so far been really good. I’m glad that this pandemic hasn’t stopped educators and learners from reaching the academic goals. I also find it very challenging at the same time as I have never really been tech-savvy, but this has helped me break the barrier.’’
