St. Joseph's Evening college conducted an Orientation programme for the first year students on 17 June 2017 at St. Joseph’s Boys High School Auditorium. Fr. Maxim Dias SJ, the Principal welcomed the gathering and proudly invited the students to commit themselves to an experience that forms men and women for others. He persuaded them to build their character in such a way that they become great leaders and good examples to others. He briefly introduced the history, Vision, Mission, Motto and the core values of the college to the parents. Mr. Prashanth Kumar the Student Council Coordinator presented a video depicting the growth and functions of Jesuit Institutions.
Prof. Joy Alex vice principal of St. Joseph’s Evening College, addressed the gathering about the effects and the importance of cooperating, participating and associating in grooming student both academically and non academically.Further Prof. Tayaraj Translated the same into kannada for the benefit of the parents. The breath taking dance performance by the college team caught the attention of the parents and students alike. It was followed by a session by Mrs. Helena smith who addressed the parents on the parenting and its responsibilities. The Programme came to an end with national anthem.
