As part of outreach programmes, The Bembala Outreach Centre, SJEC organised a webinar on COVID-19
(Rise in mental health issues and the need to change the priorities) and an online teaching programme for school
and college dropouts in collaboration with the NGO Careship on July 24 and July 25, respectively. Both the
sessions were organised for II year BBA students.
The resource person for the webinar was Mrs. Neeta Gerosa Pereira, HOD, Department of Psychology &
Counseling, St Joseph’s College (Autonomous). The guest speaker spoke about the signs of psychological
distress during the Pandemic and ways to deal with it.
During the online teaching programme, the students of II year BBA got a chance to teach drop-out students,
several topics such as self motivation, goal setting, communicative English, among others.
