On Aug 21, 2020 Bembala Outreach Programme conducted a webinar on Covid-19, “Spirit of Volunteerism and Civic sense during the pandemic” for the PG students of St. Joseph’s Evening College. The webinar was part of their outreach programme.

The resource person for the webinar was K. Ramachandra, KSPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Control Room, Bangalore City. Mr K.Ramachandra provided insights about the functioning of control room. He advised the students to follow the basic rules of wearing a mask when stepping out, sanitising and washing hands and maintaining social distance as a measure to fight this pandemic. The speaker also provided the students helpline numbers in the city for any emergencies. He explained the functioning of applications such as Suraksha app and Apthamitra app.

The session ended with question answer session, through this the participants received more insight and clarity on the subject.
