On the occasion of the 32nd World Population Day, the Department of Sociology held a series of events.
The sociology association conducted a set of competitions in commemoration of the World Pollution day on 6th July 2019. The association conducted College making competition with the theme Happy mother- Happy child, Essay writing competition with the topic, Relevance of Family Planning in the 21st century, and painting competition with the theme Disease free India.
The department also conducted a chart exhibition in the college quadrangle. Over 120 charts prepared by students of sociology were put on display in which various issues relation to demographics were portrayed.
The students also conducted a sensitization programme during the prayer through the public address system. All these events helped raise awareness on various aspects of overpopulation, and its effects on different aspects of the society.
