As part of the Lake Festival, St. Joseph’s Evening College conducted an outreach program to the Mahadevpura Lake
Bangalore was once a paradise filled with pristine lakes. Today, with rapid expansion and depletion of natural resources, the lakes are reducing in number while the existing ones are getting more polluted. With the motive of creating awareness about the depletion of lakes, the students of St. Joseph’s Evening College carried boards and raised slogans such as “ Save our lakes” , “We need our lakes for our future”, “Stop poaching our lakes”, and many more. Concerned neighbors pooled in resources and hence helped us paint the slogans.
The outreach turned out to be a very successful and resourceful visit. It threw light on the plight of our dying lakes and the importance of lakes for a balanced eco-system. We would like the thank Joswin Sir and Ebenezer Sir for coordinating this event and assisting us.
