The Department of Commerce, St. Joseph’s Evening College (Autonomous), organized a Guest Lecture on 4th July 2018 in the audio-visual room for all the 1st year B.Com students. Ms .Varsha Madhavan, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, welcomed the students and the Chief Guest for the program: Mr. Ruthu Parna Sharma, Professor, Jain University. Ms. Varsha greeted the gathering and gave a short introduction to the Chief Guest. Professor Sharma was very lively and open while addressing the students. He started the session asking the students to clap. He gave some of his own examples about his life, and then lead and encouraged the students to decision-making.

He said that in the process of decision-making, we need 4 Principles:
1. Think that you are unique, that you are different, and that you are a celebrity.
2. When I decide to do something in life, I will make it a point to do it no matter what difficulties may arise. I will take a stand and accomplish the task.
3. In order to encourage myself, I will appreciate myself at least 5 times a day.
4. I will make my life something great in this world.
