Seven journalism students from SJEC participated in a one-day workshop on ‘Changing trends in Reporting and New Age Media’ held at Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for women (Autonomous), Bengaluru on February 5, 2020. The workshop was organised in association with Eye 4 School of Journalism and New media. Experts such as Mrs.Vijayalakshmi Shibaruru, Mr.Eshwar Kadur, Mr. Alvin M, Ms.Deepika Parivar and Mr.Natraj Karanth were the resource persons.

The students were trained on live reporting in front of camera and a reporting competition held. While Pavan Kumar Nadig of fourth semester MA journalism and Mass Communication (SJEC) was recognised as the best Kannada reporter, the SJEC team bagged overall third position for the same, bringing laurels to SJEC. Certificates were given away to the winners and participants.
