Introduction:
The study tour as per the curriculum was a trip to a place of educational importance. It was a journey that began at Melukote in Pandavapura taluk of Mandya district Karnataka in Southern India.

Objectives:
The expected outcome includes providing opportunities for the students and teachers to learn and get acquainted with the process of conducting a study tour and understanding the environment around.

Tour Report:
We gathered in our college campus at 9:00 am and started from the college at 9:30 am with the guidance and company of our teachers Mr. Prashanth Kumar, Mr. Ashlon Noronha, Mr. Mahesh, Mr. Dav Fod, Ms. Maryanne and Ms. Shruti on 25-1-19. We reached our first destination Melukote in Pandavapura taluk of Mandya district Karnataka, in Southern India, one of the sacred places in Karnataka, built on a rocky hill. Our second destination was KRS dam Mysore. It is a lake and the dam that creates it. We then took a break and halted at St. Philomena's College Mysore.

On the second day, 26th January, in the morning, we attended the Republic Day celebration at St. Philomena’s College and left from there to the Chammundeshwari temple. It is a Hindu temple located on top of Chammundi hills, about 13 kms from the palace city of Mysore in the State of Karnataka. Our next destination was Mysore zoo which is a 157 acre zoo located near the palace in Mysore. It is the most popular zoo in India. Our last destination on the second day was the Mysore palace. It is a historical place and a royal residence at Mysore. It is the official residence of the Wadiyar. As we were done for the day we left to Hassan for a halt at St. Joseph’s College.

The next day was our last day of the trip. From the Hassan campus we went to Belur and Halebidu to visit some of the most famous temples in Hassan which are from the Hoysala dynasty. It gave us a glimpse of Hindu temple art at its glorious best in the 16th century. They are famous for their carvings and splendid architecture. Belur is located at a distance of 38 kms from Hassan and 238 km from Bangalore. It was one of the capitals of the Hoysala Empire.

Finally we returned to Bangalore. It was a beautiful trip.
