Talentia is an event organised every year by the Cultural Department at St. Joseph’s Evening College. It gives students an opportunity to showcase their talents through singing, dancing, painting, and other cultural events. This year, it was inaugurated on 21.11.2017.
The events under Talentia would be conducted every Saturday between 6:45 pm and 7:15 pm.
The inaugural event this year was clubbed together with Diwali celebrations. Mr. Suren from the Harmony Club welcomed everyone. Mr. Ashish then gave a brief explanation about Diwali. The Principal, Rev. Fr. Maxim Dias and the Vice-Principal, Mr. Joy Alex, hoisted the flag of Talentia and the students released the balloons. The student council cultural secretary, Faizain, then gave a brief introduction to Talentia, explaining also how the events would be conducted. After his introduction, we had a few activities such as painting, dance, singing, and beat boxing.
A group of students performed a dance together with Miss Samantha. Amar, Ajit and Akhil performed beat-boxing on stage. Endros showcased his painting skills. At the end, the choir members performed a song together with John Paul Sir.
The students participated with great enthusiasm and expressed great interest in participating in the up-coming events of Talentia.
