The Association of the Department of BCA, Techno Freakies, conducted their Tech-Ops Hyper 2018 inter-collegiate tech-fest for the 2nd time on February 17, 2018, with many technical events and fun activities. The event received very good response from different colleges and participants had active participation in all the events. The fest had events such as hackathon, graphic designing, fast and furious, and fun activities like photography, treasure hunt, anachronism, and gaming.
The fest inauguration was at 1:30pm at Loyola Hall. The welcome address was given by Mrs. Annie Syrien, the Head of the Department. The fest overview was given by the Fest Coordinator Mr. Amal Raj Xavier. The Chief Guest was Mr. Arun Bhushyam, CEO of Iprimo. He gave his valuable insights about entrepreneurship and the learning aspect in technology. The program was presided over by Rev. Fr. Maxim Dias, SJ, the Principal of the college, and Student Coordinator Mr. Sanjay. The vote of thanks was given by Ms. Megha. Our Associate sponsors were IAS Pathfinder, Mr. Vinod Kumar, and the co-sponsors were Mangala Basude and Dream Zone. After the inauguration, the off-stage events were started in their respective venues as scheduled. The colleges which participated were Christ University, Kristu Jayanthi College, Mount Carmel College, Krupa Nidhi College, and Jyothi Nivas College.
The students who volunteered for the fest were enthusiastic and dedicated towards their responsibilities. The event was a big success thanks to the effort and hard work of the staff and students. For the valedictory function, the Chief Guest, Mr. Vinod Kumar, gave away the prizes to the winners of the events. The overall champion for the day was Kristu Jayanthi College.
It was a proud moment for the BCA Department to organize such a successful fest where students could showcase their talents in the technical field. We are grateful to the Principal and Management for their co-operation and support in organizing the fest.
