On December 12, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. the second year students of BA (JPS, HEP, EJP) and BBA of St.
Joseph’s Evening College left for an outreach programme to Harobele village, Ramanagara district.
The outreach programme was conducted to ensure that the students are exposed to the life of
villagers and understand the harsh realities they live in. It was a three-day programme filled with
activities of village exposure.
The students were divided into various groups to be in charge of many activities such as village
cleaning, meditation and exercise group, etc. They visited villages and then they were taken to a
nearby dam. They visited four nearby villages. On the first day, the students visited villages and
interacted with them, understanding the problems they face. They also conducted activities and
games for children in the villages. On the second day, the students had early morning exercises and
meditation session. On the third day, the students cleaned the church and school as a part of their
activity. The day ended on a light note with a few cultural activities. The students after an enriching
experience returned to Bangalore on December 15, 2019.
Students were accompanied by Outreach co-ordinators and faculty members, Mr. Ebenezer and Mr.
Prashanth Kumar, Dr.Rekha, and Mr. Davd Fod.
