On November 28, 2019 the Women’s Forum of SJEC organised two guest lectures separately for male and female students. Second year students of all streams and final year B Com students participated in the programme. The session for female students focused on the topic, ‘Pro life’ and the resource person was Donna Fernandes, a social activist, Vimochana NGO. Ms. Fernandes spoke about women and relationship issues, sex, abortion, and mental stress. The session for male students was on the topic, ‘legal awareness on domestic violence and sexual harrassment’ and the resource person was Ms. Padmavathi, social activist, Respect for Life India, NGO. The sessions was organised by Ms. Thara, Faculty co-ordinator, Women’s Forum and Komal Sharma, Student Co-ordinator.
